Relive the magic of science with Artificial Snow Powder!
Artificial Snow Powder is lots of fun and easy to use! You can make instant fake snow, colorful snow rainbows, little snow scenes with toys, decorate for Christmas, and more. It’s safe to play with and helps you learn about science. It is not consumable.
When you add water to this white powder, it quickly grows 200 times bigger, turning into something that looks just like snow. If you add more water, it becomes slushy. Once it dries out, it goes back to powder form, ready to be used again!
Key Features
- Perfect for Frozen Themed Parties, Holiday Decors, Christmas Tree Decoration, Village Displays, Holiday and Winter Craft Projects, Science Projects, Fun and Crafts
- Safe to use, non-toxic flame-retardant polymer, which transforms immediately into fluffy snow upon adding water.
- High Water Retention: Chemtex instant snow is able to hold water for longer periods of time, which comes handy in decorative media for variety of purposes
- 100% Re-Usable: After making snow you can keep it outside until the water dries in couple of days and use again
How to Use
Super Simple Use: Take 1 tsp(5 grams) of artificial snow powder into a beaker/glass/container and add 100 ml of water. Allow few seconds and watch the powder amazingly erupt into fake snow instantly. Do not stir. Do not mix.
How this works?
The powder is made of cross-linked polymer molecules that look like a fine white powder. When you add water, each tiny part absorbs it and expands, forming fluffy clusters that resemble snow but don’t stick together. Adding more water makes the outer surface of these clusters swell up and stick to each other, creating a slushy texture.
The unique properties of this snow makes it useful for many other applications, such as an artificial base for skiers, snow themes on movie sets and others. Because of its ability to rapidly absorb and retain large volumes of aqueous solutions, and forming gels, it is also used for industrial spill containment. When wet, this polymer has the consistency of snow, adheres well to boots, and is very slippery.
