PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Chemtex Pool Clean is a ready-to-use floor cleaner for the two deposits that defeat ordinary pool cleaning. Calcium silicate is the harder of the two - it does not even react with muriatic acid, which is why acid washing leaves it behind. Iron deposition is the reddish-brown pitted scum that creeps across a pool floor where the fill water carries iron; it is barely visible at first and stubborn by the time anyone notices it.
Pool Clean lifts both by forming water-soluble complexes with the metal and mineral, so the deposit drains out through the filtration rather than being scoured off. The 5-litre jar is the full-floor pack - enough to take on a whole drained commercial pool in one session, which is how this job is actually scheduled. Ready to use: drain, spread or spray, scrub, ten minutes contact, rinse.
For a club, hotel or society pool the case is the shutdown window. An acid wash means acid handling in a confined tank, a surface that loses a little each time, spent acid to neutralise and dispose of, and calcium silicate still sitting there at the end of it. Pool Clean is safe on metal, rubber, plastic, glass and painted surfaces, needs no neutralisation step, and lets one crew finish the floor and refill on schedule.

HOW TO USE
- Handle it as a chemical — Wear gloves and eye protection. Add the product to water, never water to the product. Store the pack closed, upright, out of sun and away from other pool chemicals.
- Drain the pool — Pool Clean is a drained-pool product. Empty the pool and let the floor surface come clear of standing water.
- Spread or spray it on — Apply undiluted over the stained floor and lower walls. Work in sections you can scrub and rinse before it dries out.
- Scrub, then wait ten minutes — Scrub the deposit well, then allow a ten-minute contact period for the complexing action to take hold.
- Rinse out thoroughly — Rinse well with water so the dissolved deposit leaves through the drain. Refill, then re-balance pH and chlorine before the pool goes back into use.
