Chemtex Speciality Limited operates chemtex.shop. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Chemtex Speciality Limited is the Data Fiduciary in respect of personal data collected through the Site.

Personal data we collect

We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials. These are captured directly by our payment gateway on its own secure infrastructure.
Why we use your data
- To process, dispatch, deliver and invoice your orders.
- To communicate with you about an order, an enquiry or a complaint.
- To meet statutory obligations, including the issue of GST invoices and the retention of transaction records.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site, and to detect and prevent fraud and misuse.
- To send offers, product updates and newsletters — only where you have chosen to receive them.
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you provide when you create an account, place an order or submit an enquiry, and for the legitimate uses recognised under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Marketing communication
Marketing messages are sent only with your consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any such message, or by writing to info@chemtexltd.com.
Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect messages relating to an order you have placed, such as dispatch and delivery notifications.
Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart and session working, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the Site is used.
We use analytics services that may set their own cookies and process technical data on our behalf. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some features of the Site may not function correctly if you do.
Who we share data with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
We share the minimum data necessary with:
- Logistics partners — your name, delivery address and contact number, so that your order can be delivered.
- Payment gateway — order value and reference, so that your payment can be processed.
- Accounting and tax systems — invoice details, to meet statutory obligations.
- Service providers — hosting, communication and analytics providers who process data on our instructions.
We may also disclose data where required by law, by a court, or by a competent authority, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Access to customer data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis, and every administrative action is recorded in an audit log.
While we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Your rights
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, completed or updated;
- have your personal data erased, where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for and no law requires us to retain it;
- withdraw consent you have previously given;
- nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity;
- register a grievance with us, and to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@chemtexltd.com. We will respond within the period prescribed by law. Certain records, such as tax invoices, must be retained even after an erasure request, as required by statute.
Children
The Site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of a child except through a parent or legal guardian transacting on their behalf. If you believe a child’s data has been provided to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
