PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Chemtex Pool Wash is a ready-to-use single-acid cleaner for the scale line on swimming pool tiles, walls and spa surfaces. It dissolves the calcium carbonate crust and hard-water deposit that builds along the waterline in Indian tap water - the grey-white band no amount of brushing shifts - and leaves the tiles bright without dulling the glaze.

No dilution and no mixing: spray it straight onto the deposit, leave it ten minutes, scrub gently and rinse. The 1-litre bottle is the spot-cleaning size - the waterline band on one wall, the step treads, the spa surround, the patch of tile under the inlet that always scales first. It is a medium-strength acid rather than a harsh one, so it is safe for routine use on concrete, rubber, plastic, glass, stone and glazed tile.

For a home pool this is the difference between a pool that looks maintained and one that does not. The grey-white band at the waterline is the first thing a visitor notices and the one thing brushing never removes, because it is mineral rather than dirt. Ten minutes of contact time per wall, once or twice a season, keeps it away. Run the pump for two to three turnovers afterwards and re-check pH, since acid work at the waterline pulls pool pH down.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Ready to use — No dilution, no mixing, no measuring. Spray it on the deposit as supplied.
  • Shifts heavy scale — Dissolves the calcium carbonate and hard-water crust at the waterline that brushing and general-purpose cleaner will not touch.
  • Safe on glazed tile — Medium-strength single-acid formula - it removes the deposit without etching the glaze, so it can be used every season.
  • Wide surface compatibility — Safe on concrete, rubber, plastic, glass, stone and glazed surfaces, so the same bottle does tiles, coping and steps.
  • Phosphate-free — No phosphates, so cleaning does not leave behind the nutrient that algae blooms on a week later.

HOW TO USE

  • Handle it as a chemical — Wear gloves and eye protection. Add the product to water, never water to the product. Store the pack closed, upright, out of sun and away from other pool chemicals.
  • Spray it on undiluted — Apply directly to the scaled tiles, waterline or spa surface. Work in sections you can rinse before the product dries.
  • Leave it ten minutes — A ten-minute contact period does the work. Scrubbing early just spreads it around; scrubbing after is where the deposit comes off.
  • Scrub gently and rinse — Work the loosened deposit off with a pool brush or pad and rinse thoroughly with water. Repeat on any band that is still grey.
  • Turn the water over before swimming — Run the pump for at least two to three full turnovers, then re-test pH and correct - acid cleaning pulls pool pH down.
