chemtex.shop (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Chemtex Speciality Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at Haute Street Corporate Park, 86A Topsia Road (S), Kolkata – 700046, West Bengal, India, GSTIN 19AADCC5168M1Z6.
By accessing, browsing or transacting on the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
Eligibility
The Site is intended for customers in India. You may transact on the Site only if you are competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
If you are under 18 years of age, you may use the Site only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these terms and who transacts on your behalf.
Certain products listed on the Site are industrial or institutional chemicals. You confirm that you are purchasing them for a lawful purpose and that you will handle, store and use them in accordance with the product label, the applicable safety data sheet and all applicable law.
Your account
Where you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your contact details current so that we can reach you about your orders.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
Pricing
Prices displayed on the Site are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise. A GST invoice is issued for every order.
Products are not necessarily sold at MRP. Where a maximum retail price is displayed alongside a selling price, the selling price is the amount payable.
Prices, offers and discounts may change at any time without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time the order is placed and paid for.
We take care to list products and prices accurately. In the event of an evident pricing, listing or typographical error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and refund any amount paid.
Orders and acceptance
Your order constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only when we confirm dispatch of the order. Payment confirmation alone does not constitute acceptance.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, in whole or in part, before dispatch, including where stock is unavailable, the delivery location is not serviceable, the order cannot be verified, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive activity. Any amount already paid is refunded in full.
Product information and safety
Product descriptions, specifications, dosage guidance and images are provided for general information. Colour, pack appearance and labelling may vary from the images shown.
Technical guidance published on the Site is general in nature and is not a substitute for a site-specific assessment. Where a product is to be used in a critical, regulated or large-scale application, we recommend that you contact us for a technical recommendation before purchase.
You are responsible for confirming that the product you select is suitable for your intended application and for complying with all handling, storage, transport and disposal requirements applicable to it.
Payment
Payments are processed through a third-party payment gateway. We do not collect, process or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password or any other payment credential on our systems.
Your use of the payment gateway is additionally subject to the terms and privacy policy of the gateway provider.
Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, product descriptions, images, graphics, logos, brand names and page layout — is owned by or licensed to Chemtex Speciality Limited and is protected under Indian intellectual property law.
You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, frame, scrape, data-mine or make any commercial use of the Site or its content without our prior written consent.
Chemtex, Alstasan, Alstacol, Alsta, Silvox, BioBubble and related marks are trademarks of Chemtex Speciality Limited.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to:
- post or transmit unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene or otherwise objectionable material;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or any connected system;
- introduce malicious code, or interfere with the operation of the Site or another user’s use of it;
- use automated tools to extract listings, descriptions, prices or customer data;
- misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any person or organisation.
Limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chemtex Speciality Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or data, arising out of your use of the Site.
Our aggregate liability in respect of any order shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that order.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chemtex Speciality Limited, its directors, officers and employees against any claim, loss, liability or expense arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or your handling, storage, use or disposal of any product purchased through the Site.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
The courts at Kolkata, West Bengal shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the Site.
Nothing in this clause affects your right to approach a Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints may be addressed to our Grievance Officer:

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours of receipt and endeavour to resolve it within one month.
Changes to these terms
We may modify these terms at any time. The current version is always available on this page, and the effective date is shown at the top. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
